What technology is Smart UI built on?
Smart UI is a 100% pure JavaScript library framework for building modern responsive websites and mobile web applications that work on any device and any modern web browser. All Web components in the suite are built from scratch using only HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6) and are based on our own Core framework. The suite does not have any dependencies on any frameworks.
Can I use Smart UI with PHP, ASP .NET, ASP .NET MVC, Angular, React, Bootstrap?
Smart UI is a 100% pure JavaScript library framework for building modern responsive websites and mobile web applications that work on any device. As it does not have any framework dependencies, you can use it in any Web or Mobile project. Additionally, Smart UI provides dedicated UI Components for Angular, React, Blazor, and Vue, ensuring seamless integration with these popular frameworks.
How is Smart UI licensed?
Smart UI is shipped in two versions: Community and Professional. The Community version is licensed under the permissive Apache v2 license. The Professional version is licensed under a commercial license. The commercial licenses are perpetual and include one year of support, maintenance, and upgrades. You can purchase individual components such as a Grid, Kanban, Editor, Scheduler, Gantt, Chart, or a bundle of all components, as well as Team licenses for larger teams. How do you define a developer?
Each person who directly or indirectly develops an application, website, or other product that uses Smart UI is considered a developer.
Do I need separate licenses for production and build machines?
No. The licensing is not per-machine and therefore you don’t need additional licenses for production servers, test, and build machines. The product is licensed per-developer seat.
Do you offer competitive upgrades?

What is considered a support incident?
Any support request sent to support@jqwidgets.com is considered to be a support incident. One support request may cost more than one support incident if multiple questions are asked for unrelated issues.
Does Smart UI support TypeScript?
Yes, Smart UI provides full TypeScript support, including type definitions for all components, making it easier to integrate with TypeScript-based projects and ensuring type safety during development.
Can Smart UI be used in server-side rendering frameworks?
Smart UI components are primarily designed for client-side rendering, but they can be used in server-side rendering frameworks like Next.js or Nuxt.js with appropriate configuration. Consult our documentation for specific setup instructions.
