    hello –

is there a smart-html-element widget that has a COMBINED drop-down list as well as a short user text input?  i seem to recall there being one but cannot find it now.

or maybe it was part of jqWidgets?

in other words, the ability to have a choice to select from a drop-down list or to enter my own, such as political party, have the most common ones in a drop down but allow the user to enter a political party that is not currently in the drop-down list.

sorry i cannot remember if i have seen this or not.

you REALLY need to advertise this more.  i can see many useful applications for such a powerful widget.

i did look at that earlier but didnt know you could fill it in yourself (maybe a “placeholder” suggesting that?)

thank you very much, and as always, thank you for providing such outstanding useful widgets.
