pop-out text editing

hi – when i was stumbling around with grid initially, i thought i saw a text editing option where the grid-cell would open up in a larger text-editing dialog box very similar to micro$$oft notepad.

is this possible?  is there a template that pulls up a more powerful text editor?  or an example of such behavior somewhere?

and as always, thank you for saving me so many years (decades) of work.

Could it be that you saw our TextArea Editor demo  or the Editing Dialog demo?

In general, the grid supports custom editing, so an editable cell can be turned into any kind of input element.

can the textArea and dialog be combined somehow??

Hi Mark,

Thank you for the feedback! They should be able to be used together and this is a bug.

I have opened a work item and we will work on fixing it as soon as possible.
